Job Description
Assistant Director - Early Childhood Education- Green Garden Child Development Center Green Garden Child Development Center is seeking a passionate, organized, and growth-minded early childhood professional to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director at our Clawson and Madison Heights Campuses! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is excited about developing others, and is committed to providing high-quality care and education. As an Assistant Director, you will support the Campus Director in overseeing daily operations while helping lead a team that creates a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children and families. This role includes a blend of classroom support and administrative responsibilities. What You'll Do Support Daily Operations Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the campus Help ensure proper staffing, classroom coverage, and smooth daily flow Maintain organized and up-to-date files for staff, children, and licensing Ensure Licensing & Curriculum Compliance Support and uphold all state licensing regulations and company standards Ensure classrooms meet ratio, safety, and cleanliness requirements Assist in completing drills, inspections, and required documentation Model best practices and hold staff accountable through coaching and feedback Lead & Support Your Team Build strong relationships with staff and foster a positive, team-first culture Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing support to teachers Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts Participate in staff appreciation, team events, and professional development Family & Community Engagement Build meaningful relationships with families and ensure high satisfaction Maintain consistent communication through apps, emails, and conversations Support enrollment, tours, and family onboarding Help plan and participate in family and community events Program Quality & Growth Support curriculum implementation and continuous quality improvement Monitor classroom environments and child development progress Assist in maintaining enrollment levels and supporting retention efforts Qualifications Associate's or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred (CDA considered with strong experience) Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or in a leadership role Strong understanding of licensing regulations and early childhood best practices Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and lead with confidence Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid holidays Paid vacation time Tuition reimbursement Childcare discount Why Join Green Garden?
