Active NJ LPC or LCSW Preferred Credentials ACS (Approved Clinical Supervisor) CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) Join a Growing Behavioral Health Leadership Team Unity Place is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Clinical Director to join our growing behavioral health and substance use treatment team serving adults with co-occurring / dual diagnosis mental health and substance use disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinician ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive, team-oriented environment that values clinical quality, staff collaboration, and professional growth. Our programs include Adult Partial Care (Day Treatment), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) services focused on providing structured, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Why Clinicians Enjoy Working Here Supportive and collaborative leadership team Opportunity to grow into senior leadership Strong clinical autonomy and professional respect Stable daytime schedule — no overnight shifts Opportunity to help shape and expand programs Mission-driven environment focused on recovery and quality patient care Team-oriented culture with strong administrative support Leadership that values clinician input and ideas Fast-growing organization with advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities Assist with clinical and administrative oversight across Partial Care, IOP, and OP programs Support day-to-day clinical operations, workflow coordination, and program organization Provide supervision and support to licensed and credentialed staff Review clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Support compliance with NJ DMHAS, Medicaid, and managed care requirements Assist with Quality Assurance (QA) and clinical improvement initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care Help support staff development, program growth, and clinical excellence Provide clinical leadership and coverage support when needed Preferred Clinical Experience Experience working with any of the following populations or treatment approaches is strongly preferred: Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Co-Occurring / Dual Diagnosis Disorders Mental Health Treatment Trauma-Informed Care Eating Disorders Anger Management Gambling Disorders / Behavioral Addictions Qualifications Required Active
NJ LCADC
Active NJ LPC or LCSW Experience working in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment settings Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills Ability to lead, support, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of patient care, professionalism, and clinical standards Strongly Preferred Leadership, supervisory, or program oversight experience Experience in Partial Care, IOP, or OP settings ACS or CCS credential Experience working with co-occurring and dual diagnosis populations Knowledge of
