Job Description

POSITION TITLE
Assistant Coach Men and Women's Cross Country, Track, and Field/Dorm Director The College reserves the right to close the recruitment process once a sufficient applicant pool has been identified.

Ranger College Main Campus/ Athletic Department
GERNERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Help in all aspects of coaching and directing the Ranger College Cross Country and Track Program. Help recruit an assigned number of male/female student athletes. Assist with duties including but not limited to program planning, traveling, scheduling, facility maintenance and event day preparations and operation. Other duties as assigned. Additionally, a dorm director is responsible for overseeing daily residential operations, including check-in/check-out processes, facility inspections, and addressing student housing concerns. This role fosters a safe, engaging living environment by ensuring compliance with college policies and housing regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree required; Bachelor's preferred Perform duties of an assistant coach of a collegiate athletic program Help in recruitment of student athletes Must have developmental plan for academic success for student athletes in the program Understand student athlete's welfare Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent oral/written communication skills Strong organizational skills required Able to work in a fast-paced, busy student-oriented setting Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits
ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS
Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance. Review of applicants will begin immediately and will continue until the position has been filled.
