Duties/Responsibilities:

Assistant Construction Superintendent to manage relationships between RPI and contractors. Supervises work schedules and assignments for contractors. Communicates and enforces safety procedures and site rules and addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies. Assist Commercial Project Supervisor to develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project. Assistant Construction Superintendent ensures all materials, supplies, and other needs of project are procured, delivered, and secured at jobsite. Leads the coordination and scheduling of work activities of contractors, communicating instructions and project assignments as appropriate. Supervises work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to Director of Projects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications. Collaborates through Commercial Projects Supervisor with pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met. Leads the supervision of project to ensure plans are followed. Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Assistant Construction Superintendent:

2 years construction experience requried Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles. Extremely detail oriented with the ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and plans. Understanding of quality building practices. Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them. Ability to utilize IT system Experience with CompanyCam is a plus.

License/Certification:

Driver's License with good driving record (Required) OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be comfortable on roofs and ladders. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
