Job Description

Vaco is working with a manufacturing organization seeking a motivated Assistant Controller to support plant operations, financial reporting, and cost improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with site leadership and plays a key role in maintaining a strong internal control environment, supporting month-end close, and driving operational efficiencies. Why Join? High-visibility role with exposure to plant leadership and finance Opportunity to drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives Collaborative manufacturing environment with growth potential Strong mix of operational finance, accounting, and SOX exposure Responsibilities Support month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities Maintain compliance with SOX controls and corporate accounting policies Assist with cost analysis, expense tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives Coordinate account reconciliations, inventory support, and intercompany transactions Support fixed asset and tooling accounting Partner with operations to improve financial performance and drive business decisions Assist with audits, AP oversight, and shared services coordination Qualifications 3-5 years of accounting and/or audit experience Manufacturing experience preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and financial analysis Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
