Job Description:

Innovative Driven is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join a collaborative team at one of our most prestigious law firm clients! This full-time and hybrid (3-4 days in office and the rest remote) in the Summit, NJ office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creating structure where needed and helping improve systems and processes across the department. The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in the day-to-day financial operations of the Firm, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, reporting and operational support. Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including collections oversight, vendor payments, disbursements, and expense reimbursements. Monitor firm bank accounts and financial activity, ensuring proper financial recordkeeping and reporting. Facilitate payroll processing and commission tracking in coordination with external providers as needed. Provide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to firm leadership to support operational planning and decision-making

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, accounting support or finance operations (law firm/professional services experience strongly preferred). Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with legal billing systems strongly preferred.
