Job Responsibilities
  • Assists in administration and management of the Community Outreach Division of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc.
as called for in the
Corporation's Community Outreach Policy:
­ Identify opportunities for CRA Investments, Donations and Community Development loans ­ Work with market managers to assure compliance with CRA regulations in each of the Bank's assessment areas ­ Perform periodic review of Bank's assessment areas to ensure reasonableness of the delineation ­ Assist in preparing quarterly reports to the Board and senior management regarding the Bank's CRA compliance ­ Assist in the analysis for the establishment, closure, and relocation of branch offices ­ Review the Bank's various initiatives for potential CRA benefits ­ Document, and review lending, investment and service activity ­ Maintain the Bank's CRA Public File as required by the Community Reinvestment Act ­ Remain up-to-date and informed on all community outreach issues and regulations through all available means including schools and seminars ­ Establish and maintain relationships with community-based, charitable, and non-profit organizations ­ Assist in developing and conducting training to assure compliance with CRA policies and regulations ­ Assist with the ongoing monitoring program which will provide management with timely information about the Bank's CRA compliance position and gaps in CRA delivery of services, products, and investments to allow management to modify its goals and activities as required to maintain a Satisfactory CRA compliance rating ­ Collect and distribute information related to the CRA to appropriate staff ­ Provide informational assistance to loan officers, branch personnel, management, auditors, and community groups
  • Evaluate laws and regulations and stay abreast of all legislative and regulatory developments that might impact the Bank
  • Research regulatory issues and respond to compliance questions from Bank personnel, utilizing legal and regulatory reference manuals, consulting Bank counsel, and contacting professional associations and organizations as appropriate
  • Promote a compliance culture throughout the Bank
  • Special project assignments
  • Other duties as assigned Skills/Knowledge and Abilities/Experience Bachelor's degree or the equivalent to provide basic familiarity with a variety of subjects such as: finance, economics, English, business law, marketing, statistics, etc A minimum of three years banking experience and at least one year of experience directly related to Bank compliance, fair lending, and/or CRA Knowledge of Bank administration, lending and operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures Ability to interact on a professional level with Bank employees and management • Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented, self-starter, able to work independently Ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations, and provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems Strong analytical and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach Strong professional presence - relationship skills, organizational skills, work habits Ability to work with community groups and government agencies Must be a self-starter and able to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Word and Excel The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed by personnel assigned to this job.
