Requirements Job Overview The Assistant Director for Programs, Georgetown Law Lifelong Learning plays an important role in the planning and execution of Georgetown Law Lifelong Learning programming, including relationship building with external stakeholders, marketing and sponsorship, vendors and technology, contracting, event staffing, catering and A/V, facilities and venue, and course evaluation. Focused on delivering both customizable and open-enrollment curricular content to individuals and organizations, Georgetown Law Lifelong Learning is an innovative hub for those looking to create lasting impact on the legal field from the inside out. The team is a dynamic group of designers, educators, lawyers, and entrepreneurs committed to serving lawyer-leaders around the world. Regularly working with partners both internally and externally, the position will be involved in nearly all aspects of a program lifecycle, from conception to execution. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Serves as a key point of contact for planning and implementation of Georgetown Law Executive and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming, including customer service and engagement, catering and A/V, facilities and venue, marketing and sponsorship, vendors and technology, CLE accreditation, event staffing, and evaluation. Coordinates with clients, speakers, Georgetown Law faculty and staff, and other internal and external stakeholders to deliver programming of the highest quality. Works with outside vendors as well as internal and external personnel to help facilitate receipt of Continuing Legal Education credit by attendees. Supports Georgetown Law Lifelong Learning external engagement goals through research and recommendations on potential marketing initiatives and by developing and maintaining various aspects of the Georgetown Law Lifelong Learning website, social media, and internal technologies, as well as any program-specific websites, platforms, or technologies. Completes other duties as assigned by more senior members of the Lifelong Learning team, including, for example, staffing conferences, drafting online content, training team members and work-study students, providing support on budgeting and finance issues, and participating in strategic planning. Work Interactions The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Program Management, with close interaction with the entire Lifelong Learning team to drive program planning and execution. The Assistant Director will also regularly coordinate or interact with internal and external partners, including other staff and faculty at Georgetown, potential and existing executive education clients, and program participants and speakers, sponsors, and vendors. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritize effectively. Ability to manage situations professionally and with sound judgment. Ability to multi-task and maintain focus, particularly in the provision of customer service while tracking program deliverables for multiple entities and programs simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Comfort with technology and growth mindset. Demonstrated experience executing large-scale events Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years in a professional setting. Interest in instructional design, program management, large-scale event planning, and/or higher education. Experience with Cvent or other event/learning management systems. The ideal candidate has a "lean start-up" mindset. They are a dedicated team player, flexible and creative, and are able to work with a variety of personalities and constituencies to deliver excellent programs at scale. Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
