Job Summary As an Assistant Director of Nursing, ADON, RN, you will play a vital role in promoting and restoring patients' health. Your responsibilities include completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends. In this role, you will also supervise assigned team members and ensure accurate transcription and notification of new physician orders.
Pay Rate Pay Rate:
$90,000-$105,000 annually

Fostering a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
Promoting patient independence by:
o Establishing patient care goals. o Teaching patients, families, and friends about conditions, medications, and self-care skills. o Addressing any questions or concerns.
Ensuring quality of care by:
o Adhering to therapeutic standards. o Measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards. o Making or recommending necessary adjustments. o Following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care. Resolving patient problems and needs using multidisciplinary team strategies. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by: o Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. o Calling for assistance from healthcare support personnel as needed. Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Assisting nurses working with medication carts and on the unit with documentation, organization, and overall supervision. Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills To excel as an Assistant Director of Nursing, ADON, RN , you will need:
Required Qualifications :
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
Skills :
Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing expertise, and physiological knowledge. Proficiency in administering medication and maintaining health promotion and maintenance. Strong verbal communication and listening skills with the ability to work effectively in a medical team. Multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
