05/21/2026 Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Skilled Nursing Facility - Painted Post, NY Area A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in the Painted Post, NY area is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing Services in overseeing daily nursing operations and maintaining quality resident care Oversee daily staffing coordination Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documentation Conduct weekly wound and skin rounds Participate in on-call rotation Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of nursing staff Ensure residents' medical and nursing needs are met Support infection prevention and control initiatives Coordinate planning and delivery of nursing services Maintain flexibility to meet operational and resident care needs Support regulatory compliance and promote effective communication among nursing staff Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and standards
Qualifications:
Current New York State RN license required Strong communication and leadership skills Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care setting Flexible schedule availability required Ability to supervise and support nursing teams effectively Prior nursing leadership or management experience preferred Staff education/training experience preferred About the
