Job Description

The Heritage at Lowman Retirement Community is a faith-based non-profit organization looking for compassionate, caring professionals who dedicate themselves to providing quality care and promoting the highest in customer service. Located in the Midlands of South Carolina near the shores of beautiful Lake Murray, the Heritage at Lowman is a growing, robust community of active senior adults. We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. The ADON will also coordinate and teach in-services to staff through a staff development program, provide and assist with orientation of nursing staff, coordinate and train feeding/dining program and CPR, lead the QA committee and serve as Infection Control Coordinator.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Licensed to practice as an RN in the State of South Carolina Must maintain current SC RN license and CPR certification Minimum of one (1) year of nursing management experience Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care experience Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and authority when circumstances warrant such action Must be able to deal tactfully, cheerfully and patiently with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel Come join our team and find personal and professional satisfaction as you share your talents and skills with us.
