Perry Township Schools Academic Center Student Services Administrator Position Purpose Assist the director of student services in supporting a whole child approach that includes social-emotional learning, mental health supports, and continued growth in a multi-tiered system of supports. Essential Job Functions Provide supervision of School Social Workers and on-going professional growth and development. Coordinate their work to support students and school staff. Assist the Director of Secondary Education in supporting and monitoring school counseling at all secondary schools as they work to support the whole child and build systems around SEL and work-based learning skills. Assist in coordinating College and Career Readiness programs K-12 building systems that integrate social-emotional learning, project-based learning, and employability skills. Support coordination and documentation of career awareness and career pathway exploration through our project-based approaches. Coordinate Social and Emotional Learning K-12. Coordinate documentation of residency and attendance situations. Cultivate community partnerships to support student services especially with assistance programs for students and families. Work within the school district to effectively coordinate and distribute assistance items. Recruit and coordinate volunteers, as well as the running of the weekly Perry Township Food Pantry. Work with the Director of Grants and Strategic Partnerships to identify and seek out grant opportunities to support student services. Assist in the review and revision of the Student Rights and Responsibility Handbook. Assist in regulating student service related compliance
  • Anti-bullying, child abuse prevention, yearly body safety requirements, etc.
Maintain a plan for compliance and effectively communicate that to all administrators and other staff who work to implement such training for staff. Assist in coordinating Crisis Team Management and preparation. Serve as the district Attendance Officer Assist the McKinney Vento Liaison for the district. Serve as the liaison between our outside mental health provider and the schools. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services. Equipment Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone. Travel Requirements Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Pay Rates Administrative Pay Schedule Work Schedule 8 hours per day. 210 days per year. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Skill in assisting, developing and supporting staff. Ability to accurately interpret state and federal regulations and school policies. Ability to use common office machines and popular computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs. Ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments. Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Seldom = Less than 25% Occasional = 26 to 50% Often = 51 to 75% Very Frequent = Greater than 75% Physical Requirement Percentage of Time Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Occasional Ability to lift 25 pounds. Seldom Ability to carry 25 pounds. Seldom Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Very Frequent Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter. Very Frequent Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation. Very Frequent Ability to operate job-related equipment. Often Ability to reach in all directions. Occasional License/ Registration/ Certification School Administrative License preferred, LCSW licensure, or other equivalent leadership licensure considered. Education M.S. Degree Experience Previous experience is preferred.
