The Assistant Executive Director supports the overall leadership, operations, and growth of an 88-acre Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living/Personal Care, and Memory Care services. This leadership role serves as the Administrator for a 28-bed Skilled Nursing Community while assisting with operational oversight, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and census development across all levels of care. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized, and results-driven leader with strong operational knowledge, regulatory expertise, and a passion for providing exceptional care and services to seniors. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Serve as the Administrator for the 28-bed Skilled Nursing Community within the CCRC. Experience with a Household model of care Assist the Executive Director with oversight of daily operations throughout the 88-acre Continuing Care Retirement Community. Support operational excellence across Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements. Maintain survey readiness and support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Promote a culture focused on resident satisfaction, quality care, hospitality, and employee engagement. Census Development & Community Growth Lead and support initiatives focused on growing census and occupancy across Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities. Collaborate with admissions, marketing, and clinical teams to strengthen referral relationships and increase occupancy. Participate in community outreach, networking events, hospital relations, and business development activities. Assist in developing strategic plans to support continued growth and service excellence throughout the campus. Team Leadership Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on accountability, teamwork, and professional growth. Support department managers in achieving operational and resident care goals. Resident & Family Relations Promote resident-centered care and a high-quality living experience throughout the community. Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners. Address concerns and resolve issues promptly, professionally, and compassionately. Financial & Administrative Support Assist with budgeting, expense management, and operational efficiency initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators including census, staffing, quality outcomes, and resident satisfaction. Support payroll, scheduling, and administrative operations as needed. Qualifications BS/BA or (master's degree in healthcare administration preferred) Current Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License required. Current Pennsylvania Personal Care Home Administrator (PCHA) License required. Pennsylvania Assisted Living Administrator (ALA) License preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Continuing Care Retirement Community operations. Demonstrated success with census growth and community development. Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations and long-term care compliance standards. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced healthcare and senior living environment. Preferred Skills Experience working within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Proven ability to grow occupancy and build strong referral networks. Strong customer service, hospitality, and relationship management skills. Experience with regulatory surveys and quality improvement programs.
