Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and high-energy Assistant General Manager to help lead the Operations of NewVida Preserve (www.newvidapreserve.com), a premier 1,200 acre resort, wellness and outdoor recreation destination. As the AGM, you will be a critical partner to the owner and our talented leadership team that includes an Executive Chef, Front of House Manager, Marketing Director, Groundskeeping and Housekeeping Directors. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for a hospitality professional who thrives on variety—transitioning seamlessly from high-level financial oversight to the fine details of guest experience and property management. You'd be joining a team that is passionate, creative, collaborative and calm under pressure. Candidates must have at least 5 years of managerial experience in a comparable hotel resort and be great with customers.

Responsibilities include:

Lodging Strategy & Execution:

Accountable for all aspects of our lodging business, including revenue growth, customer experience, and cost management.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee daily operations across all resort departments, providing mentorship and support to Managers in front of house, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, wellness & membership services and marketing.

Financial Stewardship:

Assist in managing P&L statements, labor & inventory costs, and vendor relationships to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Guest Experience:

Maintain an uncompromising standard of service, ensuring every guest interaction is personalized, professional, and memorable.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and "service-first" mentality.

Strategic Growth:

Support ownership in executing expansion plans, including the integration of new architectural projects.

Qualifications:

Experience:

5+ years of leadership experience in boutique hotels, luxury resorts, or high-volume hospitality environments.

Communication:

Exceptional customer relationship management skills.

Leadership Style:

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, "all-hands-on-deck" entrepreneurial environment. A "lead-by-example" approach with the ability to manage with a calm and positive attitude and maintain a great team culture.

Financial Literacy:

Strong understanding of hospitality finance and budgeting.
