Job Description

Assistant Kitchen Manager Villa Bellezza Winery - Pepin, WI Villa Bellezza Winery offers an authentic Italian wine and food experience in a stunning setting. Our kitchen serves wood-fired pizza, baked pasta, antipasti, salads, panini, desserts, and more across our Il Forno dining room, Piazza Bellezza, and private events. We are seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and helps deliver exceptional guest experiences through high-quality food and strong team execution. Position Summary The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports daily kitchen operations, working alongside the Kitchen Manager to lead staff, maintain standards, and ensure efficient, high-quality food production in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations Execute and oversee food preparation across stations (prep, line, support) Ensure food quality, consistency, and adherence to standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen Team Leadership Assist with hiring, training, and developing BOH staff Support scheduling and daily team coordination Foster a positive, accountable, team-focused environment Inventory & Cost Control Assist with ordering, inventory, and product management Support control of food and labor costs Contribute to achieving overall sales and financial goals Qualifications Minimum 2 years of BOH management or supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Solid understanding of kitchen operations and their impact on guest experience and financial performance Experience with Italian cuisine and/or cooking with wine is a plus Have food safety license Success Measures Consistent, high-quality food execution Positive guest experiences Well-trained, engaged kitchen staff Effective cost control and operational efficiency Benefits Health Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Villa Bellezza is a fast-paced, energetic workplace where attention to detail and teamwork matter.
