Hold team members to high standard through coaching and accountability. Coordinate with Human Resources to take corrective disciplinary action when necessary. Assist with scheduling to ensure staffing levels meet the needs of our customers. Demonstrate and expect fast, friendly, fresh and fanatically clean service from team members while leading your team. Ensure product mix and inventory levels are properly maintained and products are displayed to increase sales and execute marketing sales plans to maximize profits. Assist with recruiting, training, development and motivation of team members. Demonstrate leadership and promote a teamwork-oriented environment setting high standards and modeling behavior for top customer service. Maintain a high level of store conditions, proper inventory levels of merchandise, parking lot and gas pumps equipment maintained to company standards. Maintain safety and security of the store, properly documenting any incidents that occur. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws within the scope of the store operation. Ability to delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent is required. 1-2 years' experience in retail is preferred, as an Assistant Manager/Supervisor a plus. Computer literate (experience with various POS systems a plus). Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, or overnight shifts. Excellent customer service skills. Flexible and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must complete a pre-employment drug test and background check. Physical Demands Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. Ability to see with 20/40 vision to correctly discern numbers. Ability to hear in both ears to localize source of quiet sound, as well as normal conversation. Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movement, and finger dexterity required. Ability to climb a ladder and/or place and remove signage. Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (i.e. utilizing a hand truck). Frequent squatting and kneeling required obtaining and/or replenishing items. Frequent lifting of 20 pounds or less from floor to waist, overhead, and carry a short distance. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
