We're hiring an Assistant Manager to support our GM in running daily operations during the season.

The schedule:

Full-time hours, March through October November and December off (unpaid) Potential to expand to year-round employment as the role grows What you'd actually do: Coordinate daily logistics for a 50+ truck fleet and the independent contractor drivers who run them Handle customer service for the parents, schools, companies, and event organizers who book us Manage and promote scheduled ice cream events Support drivers — resolve issues, facilitate restock orders, keep them on the road Pick orders and receive deliveries in our -20°F freezer (this is a real and regular part of the job, not occasional) Handle basic vehicle and facilities maintenance: tire changes, fluids, lights, grounds upkeep Office work during shoulder seasons: route permits, scheduling, planning Who fits this job: Someone with at least 2 years of assistant manager or manager experience who's ready to take on more responsibility Comfortable being hands-on across very different tasks in the same day — phone with a school principal in the morning, in the freezer pulling product after lunch, helping change a tire in the afternoon Good with people: drivers, customers, vendors all run through you Reliable enough that the GM can hand you something and stop thinking about it

Requirements:

Comfortable working in -20°F freezer for extended stretches Comfortable driving a box truck and small commercial vehicles Basic computer skills (email, scheduling, simple spreadsheets) Can lift 40 lbs without accommodation Clean driving record
