  • Day/Midnight commitment Rotation depending on the needs of the department Newark, DE ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our 29-bed Stroke Treatmentℜcovery (STAR) unit.
In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager in the clinical and administrative activities of the department in order to ensure patients the provision of quality care. STAR Unit Responsibilities :
Supervises all nursing and technical personnel: Assesses competency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of department, evaluate staff performance, counsel/coach staff member as needed. Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions. Functions as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors. Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff. Develops, implements and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff. Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing required within 5 years. Three years' appropriate acute care, clinical experience required. Leadership experience preferred. Appropriate clinical certification required.
Hourly Pay Range:
$52.97
  • $84.
75 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
