Job Description
Serving the needs of Garfield Heights and the Southeast communities of Cuyahoga County since 1949, Marymount Hospital is a 269-registered bed acute care, faith-based hospital and became the first regional hospital to become a member of the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System in 1995. South Pointe Hospital provides comprehensive surgical services to meet the needs of patients above the age of 14. As Assistant Nurse Manager, you will support the nurse manager by providing clinical supervision and unit coordination. This position offers a great way to gain extensive leadership experience while continuing to provide the best support and treatment possible. We are seeking a collaborative leader with recent OR experience who brings a positive attitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and an outside-the-box approach to patient care and team support. This ANM will play an important role in supporting the Operating Room and the diverse service lines offered at South Pointe, including podiatry, vascular, orthopedic, and bariatric services. A caregiver in this position works days from 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with an administrative on-call, and holiday rotation requirements A caregiver who excels in this role will: Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations. Provide patient care. Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units. Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers. Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance issues. Interview, select and orient new caregivers. Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts. Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives. Assume responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment Two years of recent clinical nursing experience Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Leadership experience Critical care experience
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$39.50 Maximum hourly: $59.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
