The Assistant Principal of Alma High School provides leadership and support to students and staff in grades 9-12. The individual in this role is expected to demonstrate the capacity and potential to effectively fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities listed below, in addition to other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Principal reports directly to the Alma High School Principal and works collaboratively with the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively supervise, manage, and support all aspects of school operations.Primary responsibilities include:
Supporting student development appropriate to grades 9-12 Promoting and sustaining a positive, student-centered culture of learning Establishing and enforcing rules, procedures, and classroom-management expectations Fostering high expectations for student achievement, behavior, and personal growth Promoting high standards of faculty and staff professionalism, instructional quality, and commitment to teaching and learning Leading and supporting academic programs, PLCs, leadership teams, curriculum initiatives, instruction, professional development, assessment, and accountability measures Collaborating with the principal to guide students, faculty, and staff in fulfilling the school's mission and vision Assisting in the supervision and evaluation of personnel, including teachers, instructional assistants, support staff, and substitutes Overseeing the Response to Intervention (RTI) program to identify and support students in need Ensuring high-quality substitute teachers are properly trained and placed daily Committing to extended hours beyond the regular school day to supervise and support extracurricular programs, events, and year-round activitiesCHARACTERISTICS

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
Valid Arkansas Educator License Master's Degree Valid Arkansas Educator and Building Level Administrator License (or in progress) Secondary classroom experience; preferably in grades 9-12 Building level administrator experience preferredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
