Exempt The Pathologists' Assistant (PA) program is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach and mentor students in the PA program, with possible cross-utilization in other programs. The two-year, MHS degree PA program will be accredited by NAACLS. This position is a full-time (12-month) faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level. This position will be on-site, on the Phoenix campus of the University of Jamestown. About the

Responsibilities Teaching:
Advising and mentoring potential and matriculated students, creation and maintenance of classes as assigned, including laboratories, and collaboration with the program director and clinical coordinator for curricular oversight, review, and improvement. Involvement in student events and activities (sometimes out of normal working hours) is expected.
Clinical:
There may be limited interaction with clinical sites while assisting the clinical coordinator in oversight of clinical rotation sites. The applicant should have the ability to interact with clinicians at all levels with good interpersonal skills for communication. The faculty member may participate in student and preceptor orientation and training for clinical rotations. There may be limited travel in assisting with clinical site management.
Service:
The faculty member will serve on committees and projects at the university, state, and national levels for promotion of the PA program, department, and university, and train and participate in accreditation activities for the PA program.
Research/ Scholarly Activity:
Assist students in the creation of publications and projects for conferences; participate in research/ scholarly projects on an as-needed basis. Duties and

Minimum Qualifications:
PA (ASCP) certification One year of experience as a pathologists' assistant. Preferred
Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the university or collegiate level, in a PA program or resident education. Terminal degree preferred or the desire and motivation to achieve a terminal degree. Ability to teach in molecular pathology or other specialties.
