Job Description

Job Title:
Assistant Professor - Nursing (Mental Health) The Jacqueline Wilson Fegley '71 College of Nursing at Neumann University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Nursing faculty position at the assistant professor rank.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Uses effective teaching and assessment strategies in the classroom, laboratory setting, and if applicable, the clinical environment. Collaborates in the implementation of the program's mission and vision for programmatic and department goals. Provides advisement and guidance to nursing students to provide effective academic progression through graduation. Works collaboratively with faculty members, staff, and administrators of the Nursing Programs and School of Nursing and Health Sciences to meet the program's goals.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree nursing education is required from an accredited institution of higher education. Doctoral degree in nursing preferred. Clinical nursing practice in mental health nursing of three years or more is required. Teaching experience in higher education preferred. Must be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania and Delaware, and meet background requirements according to institutional regulations, the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, and Pennsylvania and Delaware statutes. Candidates must possess an appreciation for, congruence with, and commitment to the Franciscan mission of the University.
Faculty Protocol:
Candidates should be aware that Neumann University does not have a system of tenure, but instead offers faculty a policy-governed system of promotion and increasingly extended contracts with faculty seniority.
