Position Description:

Culver-Stockton invites applications for two positions as Assistant Professor of Business. These are full-time, tenure-track positions beginning in the fall of 2026 and are face-to-face positions The first position is in finance and seeks candidates with the ability to teach Finance, Corporate Financial Management, Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy, Investments, and International Corporate Finance. The second position is in marketing and seeks candidates with the ability to teach Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Sales, Integrated Marketing Communications, Consumer Behavior, Advertising, and Marketing Strategy. For the interested candidate, either position can offer the opportunity for course reassigned time to work collaboratively with the Director o Innovation Alley to explore student entrepreneurship. These positions offer the opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative Department of Business to develop and deliver a finance/marketing curriculum, mentor students, and engage in professional activities. The Business Programs are accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging courses. Incorporate experiential learning opportunities into coursework, such as case studies, simulations, and community-based projects. Advise and mentor students on academic and career development. Engage in scholarly activities or professional practice in the field. Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Department of Business through curriculum development, assessment activities, and accreditation efforts. Participate in departmental, college-wide, and community service activities. Assist with recruitment efforts for students. Must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Master in Business or related field required for renewable lecturer position. Ph.D. in Business, DBA, or related field for a tenure-track position. ABD candidates will be considered. Previous teaching experience and corporate experience are desirable.
