Assistant Teacher 3-5 (AT-CHCS-E)

Preschool Assistant Teacher (Ages 3-5) Full-Time | Non-Exempt | In Person Make a Difference in Early Childhood Education Are you passionate about helping preschool-aged children learn and grow? Join SEK-CAP, Inc . as an Assistant Teacher and collaborate with classroom and center staff to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. You'll support curriculum implementation, foster social-emotional development, and step in as Lead Teacher when needed—all while ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and state childcare guidelines. What You'll Do Assist with classroom activities and curriculum implementation using Frog Street and other approved strategies. Provide individualized support to help children achieve school readiness and social-emotional goals. Engage with children during daily routines, mealtime, and indoor/outdoor play. Ensure active supervision and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences as needed. Complete data entry and maintain accurate documentation. Support family engagement and collaborate with community partners. Fill in as Lead Teacher when necessary. What We're Looking For Preschool CDA credential or willingness to obtain within one year of hire. Enrollment in or completion of an associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred. 3-5 years of classroom experience preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines.
