Category Assistive Technology Specialist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Assistive Technology Specialist and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with educators and families to unlock student potential near Cedar Park, TX. Your expertise in assistive technology and learning disabilities will drive student growth and success.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Master's degree or higher in Special Education, Educational Technology, or a related field Certification as an Assistive Technology Specialist and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) Experience working with students with a variety of learning disabilities Proficiency in assessing student needs and recommending appropriate assistive technology solutions Familiarity with current assistive technology devices, software, and implementations in educational settings Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailResponsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' assistive technology needs Develop and implement individualized support plans for students with learning disabilities Provide training and support to teachers, staff, and families on technology tools and interventions Collaborate with educators in developing and modifying curriculum materials for accessibility Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting technology supports as needed Stay current on the latest trends and updates in assistive technology and special education Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations This is a contract opportunity offering a dynamic, supportive work environment.
