Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Attorney to join our legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal matters and gain valuable experience. This is a full-time position based in our Flowood office.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
• Manage caseload of 50-75 cases
• Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions
• Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings
• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop legal strategies
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files

Skills:

• Strong research skills, with proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
• Ability to litigate cases effectively and present arguments in court
• Excellent negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
• Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
• Proficiency in legal drafting techniques

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the MS bar association (active and in good standing)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law (experience level may vary depending on the specific position)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
