Job Description

Description You'll join Amazon Studios' legal department at a pivotal moment, supporting original content while gaining exposure to diverse legal challenges spanning technology, entertainment, and innovation. In this role, you'll provide strategic legal counsel on high-impact projects, including emerging technology initiatives, while building meaningful relationships across multiple business units. Key job responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of contracts and agreements, with particular focus on technology transactions, licensing arrangements, and entertainment-related matters
  • Provide legal counsel to business clients across multiple Studios departments by identifying potential risks, interpreting contractual obligations, and offering strategic recommendations
  • Support marketing, public relations, and operational initiatives by coordinating legal guidance and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Analyze emerging legal issues, including those related to artificial intelligence and new technologies, and advise stakeholders on implications and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into practical legal solutions A day in the life As an Associate Corporate Counsel supporting Amazon Studios, you'll work on a variety of legal matters that keep our creative and business operations moving forward.
Your day might include drafting and negotiating technology agreements, reviewing contracts for potential risks, or providing counsel to marketing and production teams on entertainment law questions. You'll collaborate with colleagues across our organization—from technology specialists to creative teams—to understand their business objectives and translate those into sound legal guidance. You'll also have opportunities to dive into emerging areas like artificial intelligence projects, where you'll help shape how we approach novel legal challenges. Beyond your core responsibilities, you may participate in cross-functional meetings, contribute to policy discussions, and develop expertise in areas like intellectual property, advertising regulations, and privacy matters.   • 2+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines Preferred Qualifications

  • Can manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
