Knowledge Skills and Abilities Associate Engineer:
B.S. Degree in Engineering and 0-2 years of relevant engineering work experience.Engineer:
B.S. Degree in Engineering and 2+ years of relevant engineering work experience.Senior Engineer:
BS Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.Staff Engineer:
BS Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.Engineering Technical Specialist I:
0-2+ years of relevant engineering work experience plus degree or additional equivalent experience.Engineering Technical Specialist II:
3+ years of relevant engineering work experience plus degree or additional equivalent experience.Engineering Technical Specialist III:
5+ years of relevant engineering work experience plus degree or additional equivalent experience. In-depth knowledge of engineering principals, theories and practices. Ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline. Strong oral, written and graphical communication skills including technical writing; ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature. Ability to conduct standard tests, measurements and experiments. Ability to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes. Ability to function effectively independently and as a member on a technical team. Excellent organization and project management skills. Excellent personal computer skills including knowledge of applicable software programs.Knowledge Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Experience with Maintenance Rule (M-Rule) activities and requirements. Experience with ASME XI Repair/Replacement activities and requirements. Experience with ASME XI Inservice Inspection activities and requirements. Experience with ASME XI System Pressure Test activities and requirements. Experience with CFR 50 Appendix J Primary Reactor Containment Leakage Testing for Water-Cooled Power Reactors activities and requirements. Experience withASME XI/ ASME O&M
Inservice Testing activities and requirements. Experience withASME XI/ ASME O&M
Snubber activities and requirements. Experience with Boric Acid Corrosion Control Program activities and requirements. Understanding of ASME Inservice Inspection and Inservice Testing as it applies to Pre and Post maintenance requirements. Experience with work scheduling and use of Primavera P6 scheduling software. Experience with walking down and understanding nuclear power plant piping systems (i.e. Non-Licensed Operator). Positive, optimistic team player with a solution oriented attitude. Prior SRO license and/or STA certification desired, not required. Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy. Demonstrate high integrity, safety, professionalism and appropriate behavior driven results. Be a strong advocate to communicate and elevate issues in a timely mannerREQUIRED ENGINEERING CRITERIA
For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met: Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.Education Requirements Required Degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree): Bachelor's in Engineering BS Degree from ABET accredited college in Engineering is required; Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred For placement in Engineering technical specialist series candidate can hold a non-ABET accredited Technical degree in such areas as Computer Science, Science, Engineering Technology, or other technical field.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description Note:
Dominion Energy minimum experience and education requirements may exceed stated ANSI standards and candidates must meet the Dominion Energy minimum requirements. For Nuclear employees, this ANSI standard must be met, all of which is met or exceeded in the Engineer series job summaries with the exception of the Nuclear Power experience requirement of at least 1 year: ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.6.1 Education requirements: Baccalaureate or associate degree in engineering or related science.Minimum experience for the position:
