Job Description

Overview Blue Sky Psychology Group (www.blueskypsychgroup.com) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an entry-level background in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals facing various challenges. The Associate Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual, couples, and family therapy in a group practice setting. This position will receive excellent clinical supervision and mentoring. Responsibilities Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gottman Method, or Motivational Interviewing. Collaborate with other clinicians to ensure holistic care for clients, including case management and coordination of services. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding. Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Offer specialized counseling services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care as needed. Provide direct support to individuals experiencing chronic pain or behavioral challenges. Skills Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Existential Therapy. Experience working with children and families in clinical settings Ability to perform crisis intervention effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and behavioral health documentation standards. Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its application in therapeutic settings. Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and manage cases effectively within an outpatient setting. Experience with telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions is advantageous. Understanding the unique needs of geriatric populations is beneficial.
