Job Description
Associate Veterinarian - DVM - O'Fallon, IL A veterinary hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and patient-focused team. This is a great opportunity to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive environment with experienced staff, modern equipment, and opportunities for professional growth.
This role is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy a mix of wellness, medical, and surgical cases while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical exams and diagnose medical conditions Develop and implement treatment plans for a variety of cases Provide preventive care, including wellness exams and vaccinations Perform routine surgical and dental procedures Utilize diagnostic tools such as digital radiology and in-house lab equipment Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver excellent patient care Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution Active or eligible veterinary license in good standing Strong clinical and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care Open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates (mentorship available) Benefits Competitive salary with production-based bonuses Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (where applicable) Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and parental leave Continuing education allowance and paid CE days Licensing fees, professional dues, and liability coverage Mentorship and career development opportunities Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance How to Apply Veterinarians interested in this leadership opportunity are encouraged to send their resume to: Careers@desortstaffing.com Please complete the online application to be considered.
