Job Description
Overview We are a small animal private practice in the NKY area seeking an associate DVM. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing preventive care, and ensuring the well-being of pets and other animals. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners, staff, and other veterinary professionals to deliver high-quality medical care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and diseases in pets. Perform surgical procedures as necessary. Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed. Provide emergency care and critical care for animals in need. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and animal physiology.Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state. Strong skills in animal handling. Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for animals. Pay/contract is negotiable. Starting salary as listed but candidate will be compensated based upon experience and skills. Monthly production bonus and a generous benefits package. Sign-on bonus eligible.
