Boise State University Foundation
Associate Vice President for Central Development & Engagement
Bryant Group is pleased to partner with Boise State University Foundation in the search for an Associate Vice President for Central Development & Engagement. This role will be charged with driving bold, innovative strategies that elevate fundraising and engagement across the institution. Reporting to the CEO, this leader provides vision and direction for a comprehensive portfolio that includes corporate and foundation partnerships, annual and planned giving, alumni relations, sponsorships and high-impact signature events. As a key member of the Foundation's leadership team, the AVP plays a pivotal role in advancing institutional priorities by aligning development and engagement efforts and strengthening the entire philanthropic pipeline—from first connection to transformational gifts.
This role blends strategy with action, leading data-informed initiatives that accelerate fundraising success while personally cultivating and securing major gifts. The AVP builds powerful partnerships across university leadership, faculty, alumni and external stakeholders to expand philanthropic support and deepen engagement. At the same time, they inspire and lead high-performing teams, set ambitious goals and champion a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on impact, this position serves as a driving force behind long-term growth, helping to shape the future of Boise State through meaningful relationships and philanthropic investment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and forward-thinking fundraising leader with a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) and at least eight years in advancement, with strong expertise in major and planned giving, corporate partnerships and alumni engagement. They are both strategic and results-driven, yet genuinely energized by the opportunity to shape and build innovative programs that drive meaningful impact. This individual excels at cultivating donor relationships, leading high-performing teams and executing effective initiatives, while bringing strong communication, organizational and analytical skills, proficiency in donor systems and a collaborative, creative mindset focused on continuous improvement and long-term relationship building.
