The Assurance Manager- Healthcare will coordinate and oversee assurance engagements while ensuring compliance with reporting and quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, organize, and schedule healthcare assurance engagements to ensure timely completion.
- Provide timely feedback to staff to support their development and learning.
- Review full financial statements and disclosures for reporting compliance.
- Review workpapers to ensure adherence to the firm's quality control standards.
- Research complex accounting issues and provide well-supported solutions.
- Plan and manage engagements to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop expert-level knowledge within assigned healthcare niches.
- Support monitoring of deliverable quality and team performance.
- Maintain CPA certification and required CPE hours.
- Assist Partners with special projects as assigned.
- Build new client relationships and expand networks beneficial to the firm.
- Identify opportunities to offer additional services to existing healthcare clients.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required.
- Healthcare industry experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a senior/in-charge accountant.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed decision-making ability with initiative to act independently.
- Ability to research and analyze technical accounting information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload.
