05/25/26 or until filled Auditorium Coordinator•Pattonville High School•2026-2027 Pattonville School District is seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and collaborative Auditorium Coordinator to provide technical expertise for staff, students, and community groups and facilitate safe operations and management of the Pattonville Community Auditorium. This position has irregular working hours (varies with auditorium schedule).
Pay Classification:
Pay Grade T130 $18.62•$31.35 per hour Pay rate is determined based on years of experience 12-month position / 260 days per year / 8 hours per day
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate auditorium event logistics from start to finish, including collaborating with the custodial and maintenance teams to guarantee spaces are properly unlocked, set up, and secured at the conclusion of an event. Manage auditorium calendar, including building and district-wide events, as well as coordinating and facilitating outside rentals. Design and run lighting, sound, and rigging equipment for events in auditorium (events include, but are not limited to, the yearly play and musical, music department concerts, community events, and rental groups) Train student lighting, sound, and backstage crews for performances and events Maintain and coordinate auditorium equipment, and prioritize yearly purchasing needs. Optimize existing equipment to maximize performance capabilities. Advise students and site personnel/clients about safety and facility maintenance/use. Coordinate and maintain lighting, sound, rigging, presentation equipment, and concert set-up (acoustical shells, sound clouds, etc.) for performances and presentations. Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and availability of needed production items. Proactively communicate event needs, technical requirements, and timelines with teachers, administrators, custodial/maintenance staff, outside groups, etc. Collaborate regularly with performing arts staff to align auditorium procedures/processes with educational goals. Anticipate needs and address potential problems proactively. Work with Pattonville performing arts staff to continually improve the quality and efficiency of productions and events. Ensure auditorium security is communicated and enforced.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Degree in theatre or performing arts preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate has a theatre degree (with emphasis in technical theatre/production preferred) or real-world technical theatre experience (most specifically lighting and sound) Strong organizational skills Technical theatre knowledge Effective communicator who can work with a wide range of individuals using the theatre space with varying production experience Demonstrate consistent follow through on all commitments and responsibilities Be present, prepared, and responsive during all scheduled rehearsals, events, and performances
