Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Parts Counterperson, where your enthusiasm and automotive knowledge will drive exceptional customer experiences. In this energetic role, you will be the vital link between customers and our extensive inventory of auto parts and accessories. Your proactive approach will ensure that every customer receives personalized service, accurate product recommendations, and efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in identifying the right auto parts and accessories for their vehicle needs Utilize inventory management systems and POS (Point of Sale) software to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately Maintain organized stock shelves, perform stocking duties, and manage inventory control to ensure product availability Provide expert advice on automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures to support customer decisions Negotiate prices, upsell compatible products, and promote dealership services or marketing campaigns effectively Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures are followed Collaborate with the service department to facilitate order fulfillment and coordinate vehicle repairs or maintenance tasks Experience Prior dealership experience or retail sales background in an automotive environment is highly preferred Strong communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking is advantageous Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels, perform inventory management, and maintain accurate records Experience in sales management, marketing strategies, or retail math enhances your ability to meet sales targets effectively Knowledge of POS systems, phone etiquette, and customer service best practices ensures smooth interactions with clients A solid understanding of automotive repair processes, vehicle maintenance standards, and dealership operations will help you excel in this role Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering outstanding service while advancing your career in the automotive industry!
