Automation & Systems Department:
Engineering / Operations Position Summary The Automation & Systems Project Manager serves as the key link between business operations and IT, leading the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of systems that improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality. This role owns QuickBase and the Workload Management System while driving practical automation and AI adoption-including tools such as Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude -across enterprise workflows. Key Responsibilities Systems & Software Ownership Act as business owner and primary IT liaison for enterprise applications Lead software evaluations, implementations, integrations, upgrades, and roadmaps Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions QuickBase & Workload Management Administer and enhance QuickBase applications, data models, workflows, and dashboards Ensure data integrity, security, and role-based access Maintain and evolve the Workload Management System to improve forecasting, capacity planning, and visibility Support potential migrations to future platforms AI & Automation Enablement Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies across reporting, data processing, forecasting, and documentation Apply hands-on experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude to augment workflows and decision-making Partner with IT and leadership to ensure responsible, secure AI adoption Process Improvement & Governance Document and standardize workflows enabled by technology Establish governance for system changes and user requests Train users and develop documentation and best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in business systems, software implementations, or digital operations Hands-on experience administering QuickBase or similar low-code platforms Experience supporting workload, resource, or project management systems Strong ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing AI-enabled tools, including Copilot and/or Claude Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and enterprise data flows Telecom, engineering, construction, or utility industry experience Strong analytics, dashboarding, and change management skills Key Competencies Business-process focused, technology-first mindset Practical, value-driven approach to automation and AI Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams Highly organized with a continuous improvement mindset
