Automation Engineer - Software

The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning automation and control systems for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications. This role requires hands-on experience with PLC/HMI systems, system integration, and onsite troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop control systems using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related technologies Implement and debug automation solutions for process equipment and integrated systems Develop and maintain software applications (C#, SQL, HMI/SCADA interfaces) Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, OPC) Support system integration, FAT, SAT, and onsite commissioning activities Diagnoses and resolve system issues (hardware, software, network, instrumentation) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process engineers, mechanical, and customers) Contribute to R&D and continuous improvement of automation platforms

Qualifications:

. Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanics, or related field 2-5 years of experience in industrial automation or process control systems Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens preferred) Familiarity with

HMI/SCADA

systems and industrial networking Programming experience in C#, Java Script, SQL, or similar languages Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills with both technical teams and customers Willingness to travel for onsite support (as required)

Full-time Pay:

$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
