$185,000/yr.-$225,000/yr. Description We are seeking a highly driven Automation Program Director to support a mission-critical Intelligence Community automation initiative. This role focuses on leading the delivery of intelligent automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and accelerate mission outcomes within classified government environments. The ideal candidate combines strong program leadership expertise with hands-on knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA), Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement in federal environments. This role requires direct collaboration with DIA stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery of high-impact automation programs.
Responsibilities Program Leadership & Delivery:
Own automation delivery from initial problem statement through deployment and sustainment supporting DIA workflows and operational missions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary interface with government stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on execution, delivery performance, mission priorities, and program risk.
Agile Program Execution:
Lead Agile delivery efforts, maintain execution momentum, remove blockers rapidly, and ensure sprint objectives and operational timelines are met.
Program Management & Reporting:
Manage core program artifacts including Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Monthly Status Reports (MSRs), Quarterly Business Review (QBR) inputs, risk tracking, and execution reporting.
Backlog Prioritization:
Prioritize automation backlogs alongside business process engineers and developers based on mission impact, operational urgency, and technical feasibility.
Proposal & Growth Support:
Support proposal development efforts including staffing plans, technical approaches, automation strategy inputs, and past performance contributions.
Team Coordination:
Lead and coordinate cross-functional automation teams operating in fast-paced classified environments while maintaining accountability and delivery focus.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications Experience:
5+ years of experience leading IT, software, or automation programs, including at least 2 years supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or intelligent automation initiatives in federal environments
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI clearance required
Program Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs in ambiguous, fast-moving operational environments and make effective decisions under pressure
Stakeholder Communication:
Strong communication and client engagement skills with experience interfacing directly with government leadership and mission stakeholders
Certifications:
Active PMP certification or equivalent program management certification required
Agile Expertise:
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Automation Knowledge:
Working knowledge of UiPath and intelligent automation concepts sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical delivery teams
Work Style:
Strong ownership mentality, execution focus, adaptability, and ability to drive outcomes without excessive process overhead
Location Requirement:
