The Automotive Detailer cleans and refurbishes new, used, and service vehicles, following Company and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome all customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner. Assist all customers promptly and professionally. Restores the appearance of vehicles to new or likenew condition to the best of your ability. Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service. Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface. Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs. Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris. Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices. Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stainresistant chemicals. Cleans engine and engine compartment with steamcleaning equipment and various cleaning agents. Applies specialpurpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations. Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation. Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces. Uses touchup paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials as needed. Fills vehicle with fuel. Applies dressing on tires and tire wells. Responsible for preparation and applications of vehicle protection packages. Replaces missing or defective small parts. Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times. Ensures proper stickers are displayed in the vehicle's window. Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic automotive knowledge required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Past automotive detailing experience preferred. Experience using a buffer and carpet extractor preferred. Strong attention to detail. Must utilize effective time management skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at one time. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver's license required for essential job functions and occasional travel. We are an equal opportunity employer.
