Automotive Engineer

Advantage Technical is placing an Automotive Engineer (with a focus on exterior vehicle trim) with a world-class electric vehicle manufacturer. What You'll Do Lead packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of exterior trim systems Create exterior systems focused on quality, reliability, functionality, mass, and cost efficiency Collaborate within a cross-functional studio and vehicle engineering team Employ and develop world-class engineering tools and innovative approaches to systems development What You Bring 7-8 years of experience in vehicle exterior trim design and development, including experience with some of the following: side valences, sill trims, underbody aero shields, wheelhouse liners, spoilers/appliques, frunk/froot, rocker panels Proven experience creating complex CAD schemes and models; CATIA V5 or V6 preferred Experience with thermoplastic and thermoset resin materials and Class A manufacturing technologies including painting Launch experience required BS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline Preferred Experience with plastics design, Class A surfaces, front crash, aero features, lighting integration, tooling, fit and finish, thermal expansion, and structural design Benefits Through Advantage Technical Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) options available Life and disability insurance Employee assistance program Take the first step toward your next opportunity.
