Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a versatile Lead Mechanic (or "Wrench Warrior") to join our team and serve as the mechanical backbone of our community. In a rural setting, no two days are the same; you'll be the go-to expert for everything from precision ADAS calibrations and complex GM electrical diagnostics to heavy-duty suspension work and routine maintenance. We don't just fix cars—we keep our neighbors on the road. If you are a problem-solver who is as comfortable with a high-end diagnostic scanner as you are with a welding torch, we want to talk to you. This role is perfect for a technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys a fast-paced environment where your expertise is genuinely valued by the customers you see every day. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering, and electrical components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and perform wheel alignments, suspension repairs, shocks & struts replacements to enhance vehicle safety features. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to execute precise repairs on GM vehicles or other makes. Perform auto body repairs when necessary and assist with welding or other mechanical tasks to restore vehicle integrity. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and estimates. Experience Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent auto repair shops preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, powertrain components, and automotive electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics reading for efficient troubleshooting. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, air brake systems (if applicable), wheel alignment equipment, tire service tools, and suspension systems. Knowledge of auto estimating processes and customer service skills to ensure positive client interactions. Experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to operate welding equipment and perform auto body repairs as needed is a plus. Join us in delivering top-tier automotive service by applying your skills in a collaborative environment that values your expertise!
