Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive vehicle performance and customer satisfaction! In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and passion for automotive excellence will help us deliver top-tier service to our valued customers. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical systems. Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and air brake system repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards. Replace or repair tires, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and perform suspension work to optimize vehicle handling. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid replacements, and powertrain inspections to prolong vehicle lifespan. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to guide repairs on GM vehicles or other makes. Assist with auto body repairs when necessary and support welding tasks for structural repairs. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and offering professional advice on vehicle maintenance. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed using auto estimating software to ensure transparency and accountability. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various systems. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and procedures for both gasoline and diesel engines. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, transmissions, oil changes, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair. Skilled in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex issues. Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
