This position focuses primarily on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company-owned vehicles and light equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.Essential Duties :
Diagnoses mechanical problems Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, filters, fluid checks, brakes, tires, and scheduled services Diagnose and repair electrical, charging, and starting systems Read and interpret VIR (vehicle inspection reports) and repair/orders Troubleshoot and repair basic hydraulic systems and components Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Fabrication and welding repairs Perform inspections and recommend repairs on equipment to help eliminate down time Working with the parts team to identify and source correct replacement parts for repairs Accurately document labor times, parts usage, and completed repairs Communicates with supervisor and/or equipment operators/drivers for clarification of problems, discusses preventative techniques with equipment users to minimize future repairs. Safely operate vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic and repair purposes Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow company safety proceduresQualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational school is helpful. Experience repairing automotive vehicles and light equipment preferred Welding and fabrication experience preferred Basic computer skills required for work orders, maintenance systems, and diagnostic software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment Employee-owned hand tools preferred; shop tools available to get started.Pay:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:
