Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, with a strong background in working on various vehicle types, including GM vehicles and diesel engines. This role involves performing complex repairs, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The Automotive Mechanic will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service by providing reliable and efficient vehicle repairs. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment tools to complete repairs accurately Interpret vehicle service manuals and schematics to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions Perform ADAS calibrations and wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and answering client questions Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, alignment procedures, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools Ability to work efficiently on GM vehicles as well as other makes/models Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills Prior experience in auto estimating is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Certification from an accredited automotive technician program is preferred This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where technical skills are valued and continuously developed.
