About us At Sid Dillon Chevrolet Blair, we are a thriving company looking to add GM Mobile+ service to our customers. We are in need of a Mobile Oil Change & Tire Service Technician to our Chevrolet team in Blair, Nebraska. Sid Dillon as a whole is a family owned and operated business that has been around for over 45 years, happily serving the mid-west with their automotive needs. Being a family owned and operated business, gaining the trust of our employees and customers, is why our motto is "You Are What Drives Us. Pay starts at $22 plus depending on experience. Our ideal candidate will have minimal 2 years of automotive quick lane/oil change technician/mechanic experience. GM scanning and programming skills is a plus. Automotive Mobile Service Technician -
Responsibilities & Duties Mobile Service Execution:
Perform on-site oil changes, multi-point inspections, and filter replacements at customer locations with a focus on speed, accuracy, and professional "zero-spill" cleanliness.
Comprehensive Tire Services:
Operate mobile mounting and balancing equipment to replace tires on-site. Perform flat repairs and rotations, ensuring all tires are set to factory specifications.
Mobile Recall Completion:
Execute specific manufacturer safety recalls and software updates in the field, ensuring all documentation meets dealership and brand compliance standards.
On-Site Diagnostics:
Independently diagnose mechanical issues and perform digital video inspections (MPI) to provide customers with a transparent view of their vehicle's health.
Direct Customer Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, explaining work performed, discussing findings, and recommending additional services.
Mobile Asset & Tool Management:
Maintain the mobile service unit (van), ensuring all heavy equipment (tire machines, balancers, compressors) is calibrated, organized, and in safe working order.
Route & Logistics Management:
Manage a daily appointment schedule autonomously, navigating efficiently between sites while maintaining strict arrival windows.
Digital Reporting:
Use mobile service software to document work orders, upload inspection videos, and track inventory used from the van in real-time.
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols regarding lifting vehicles on various surfaces and the proper containment and disposal of all hazardous fluids.

Experience and skill requirements:
High School diploma required. Professional oral and written communication skills required. Ability to work in a highly energized, fast-paced, adaptive environment. Ability to work in an environment exposed to contaminants.
Physical and work schedule requirements:
Ability to work 40+ hours a week. Punctual attendance. Flexible schedule with some Saturdays required. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Ability to work with your hands and arms on a regular basis. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Able to work in remote locations. All positions require a good driving record and valid driver's license.
