Automotive Painter

About us Johnson Hill Customs LLC is a small family owned business in Spring Valley, WI. We have our own fleet of trucks that we service and maintain as well as for outside customers. We also build custom trucks for customers across the country. Our employees are like our family! The environment is fun and the work is very rewarding. We are looking for an experienced painter for class 8 heavy trucks and trailers. No Paint mixing on site currently

Duties:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing any damage
• Apply paint or other finishes to surfaces using spray equipment
• Taping, masking, or covering surfaces protect areas from paint overspray
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
• Follow safety guidelines and use protective gear when necessary
• Keeping track of time and materials to bill customer

Experience:

• Proven experience as a painter in an autmotive or body shop setting
• Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
• Mechanical or fabricating experience is a plus
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean work area
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team Pay based on experience.
