Automotive Service Advisor

Job Title:

Automotive Service Advisor Job Overview We are looking for a personable and organized Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them navigate their vehicle repairs with honesty and clarity while keeping our technicians on track.

Key Responsibilities Customer Liaison:

Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and translate "car noises" into clear repair orders for our technicians.

Estimating & Sales:

Develop accurate cost and time estimates for labor and parts, and explain the value of recommended maintenance to customers.

Workflow Management:

Schedule appointments and manage the daily shop flow to ensure vehicles are completed on time.

Communication:

Keep customers updated on their vehicle's status and obtain approval for any additional work discovered during inspection.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Previous experience in automotive service writing, parts sales, or as a technician is strongly preferred.

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written skills; the ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms is important.

Technical Knowledge:

A strong foundational understanding of automotive systems (brakes, engines, electrical, etc.).

Soft Skills:

A positive, friendly attitude with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Computer Literacy:

Proficient with basic office software and capable of learning shop management systems.

License:

A valid driver's license

Salary:

Competitive pay based on experience.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
