Birch Run, MI Position Overview As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be a key part of our service department. You will schedule vehicle service appointments, advise customers, and promote additional services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) ratings as defined by management. Achieve or exceed standards for labor hours billed per customer repair order. Greet customers promptly, professionally, and courteously, keeping them informed during their wait. Accurately document customer and vehicle information, diagnose service needs, and prepare repair orders. Test-drive vehicles when necessary to evaluate concerns. Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations clearly to customers. Coordinate with the service dispatcher regarding incoming work. Provide precise labor and parts estimates and obtain customer approvals. Obtain customer signatures on repair orders and provide copies. Follow up on repair progress and communicate any changes with customers. Answer phone inquiries related to service status and schedule appointments. Review final invoices against original repair orders for accuracy. Ensure quality control, minimizing return repairs. Deliver vehicles and address any customer questions or concerns. Maintain ongoing communication to encourage repeat business and referrals. Keep service and customer waiting areas clean and organized. Physical Requirements Occasional use of hands for handling and feeling, reaching with arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Regular standing, talking, hearing, walking, and sitting. Potential exposure to exhaust fumes and airborne particles. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds. Good close, distance, color, and peripheral vision required.

Minimum of 2 years of dealer experience preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities. Proficient with computers and comfortable navigating web applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle objections positively. Professional personal appearance and demeanor. Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and information. Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
