Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our busy service department. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will help bridge the gap between technicians and customers, driving customer satisfaction and repeat business. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing detailed auto estimates and options Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, and diesel engine repairs Upsell additional services or products that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed service records Assist customers with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and recommendations for ongoing maintenance or repairs Promote automotive repair services by educating customers on vehicle care and recommended services to build trust and loyalty Experience Previous dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, and brake systems Proven ability in auto estimating, upselling techniques, and automobile sales Service technician experience or mechanic background is a plus for understanding technical aspects of repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Familiarity with cash handling procedures and automotive repair software tools is advantageous Knowledge of dealership operations including auto service management practices will help ensure success in this role Join us in delivering exceptional automotive care while building lasting relationships with our valued customers. Pay:

$40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
