Job Description

We are a reputable dealership seeking an experienced Service Director to join our team! A successful Service Director has outstanding interpersonal skills as well as the discipline and drive to put in the work necessary to be successful. This position is about building rapport with dealership employees and the dealership customers, and the ability to understand their needs. A Service Director is process-driven and has a track record of high customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Problem-solver who meets service and sales objectives
  • Ensures good CSI levels to maintain repeat customers
  • Provides resolutions of customer complaints
  • Crafting marketing and advertising strategies
  • Oversees maintenance of customer service records in the computer system
  • Creates work schedules and maintains proper accounting of Service Technicians' productivity
  • Oversees Employee training and development
  • Ensures a safe working environment
  • Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and repaired
  • Strong knowledge of policy and procedures
  • Manages and oversees staff, which includes recruiting/hiring, evaluating, scheduling, terminating, etc.
  • Ensures all service level sales and CSI targets are met or exceeded
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Service Manager/Director Experience
  • Experience managing a team of advisors, clerks and techs
  • Must have General Motors experience
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
  • Collision experience a bonus
  • Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
